A Day in the Life + Learning the Art of the Stroll

lovers

I’m off to New York this week for a work event and am looking forward to a change of scenery, albeit potentially blurred from a packed schedule. After spending the weekend on the couch in an attempt to heal my incessantly aching back and trying to catch up on some writing the old fashioned way – with pen and paper – I decided that I’d share a couple of guest posts that went live last week rather than rush through some of the other topics I have in mind.

Franco File Friday is still on the schedule for this week – in fact, it features one of my favorite people; a real talent – and there might even be a contributor stopping by next week as I lethargically make my way back to Paris.

First, you can catch a Day in the Life of Me (Lindsey’s Yummy Day!) on the adorable, bilingual Sketchbook blog from the letterpress design company Paper + Cup. Sarah, the European editor and designer, spent 5 years in New York working closely with the founder, Minhee, and returned home to Paris several months ago to build their French presence. After meeting for coffee several weeks ago and realizing how much we had in common, she asked me to submit some images of an average day in my life. Now, let me preface by saying that everyday is different – I don’t write or bake at the same time each day, but the idea is constant. Particularly the bit about cuddle time with my cat in the morning. Read it HERE.

Over on the HiP Paris blog, I recall my first, most vivid memory of Paris which revolves around learning to stroll. It was great fun to write and had me nostalgic for my first date with my husband! Check out: My First Paris: Lindsey Discovers the Art of the Stroll.

See you next week.
