Back in December, Carrots N Cake was doing a giveaway everyday before Christmas and I entered everyday. Not because I need anything but because I wanted to see if I would actually win something among 700+ participants. The prize in her POM giveaway was a lascivious POM apron and since I like to cook and typically get schmutz all over myself, I thought it'd be an ideal win. It happened to be my lucky day! I was randomly chosen as the winner among 764 participants.
This was right before I went to the states for the holidays and was excited to potentially receive the item while I was home so that I could wear it when I got back to Paris. Alas, no such luck. It was being sent directly from POM and not Tina, the blogger, so there was some kind of delay. I told my father that I was expecting a package and that he'd have to send it to me when it arrived so I could wear it around the kitchen and make Mr. Cheeseland (as I think I'll refer to him now) laugh. I was on skype with my father at the end of January and asked if he had ever received anything. Sure enough, that day he had received a cumbersome, heavy box addressed to me. He opened it on camera for me and the lovely people at POM had sent virtually 6 months worth of POM juice in addition to the apron to apologize for the delay. Of course, there was no way that was getting sent to me so my family gets to reap all the antioxidants benefits of the juice for me. Anyway, I love the apron (especially the cute little pocket near the bottom) and thought I'd share a couple photos since I finally received it!
